Grade 6B Islamic Studies, 2nd Period
Teacher: Br. Ramzan Shahid

Course Summary
Dear Parents of Grade 6B,
Assalamu-Alaikum
I have given a copy of the lesson plan for the Islamic Studies for the first term, which will be followed in the class with the help of God. The lesson plan for the second term will be given to the student in the beginning of the second term. In case the student misses any class, it will be his/her responsibility to call his/her classmates to find out the homework and the lesson missed.
I will be giving assignments/homework to your child. Every assignment will be due in one week (on following Sunday). In case of unavoidable situation, it could be delayed by one week provided the parents call the teacher in advance; otherwise there will be 20% penalty in the score for each week for that particular assignment. No assignment will be accepted more than two weeks of delay. There will be at least 10 assignments given throughout the year. Please make sure that he/she has submitted the assignment on time as specified to receive the proper credit. The homework will carry 20% of overall score. Although the subject matter will be discussed in the class thoroughly, however if he/she needs your help, please do so. All the questions will be from the books/notes. We need your cooperation and help in the matter.
The promotion to the next class will be based upon the following grading composition.
1. Attendance 10%
2. Home Work 20%
3. Quizzes (5) 20% (There will be no make up quiz *)
4. Mid-Term 25%
5. Final 25%
NOTE: A student will fail the course if he/she gets less than 60% in overall grades.
* In case of unavoidable situation, parents should call the teacher in advance. One quiz may be exempted from the average in the final grades.
The girls will be required to have loose-fitting, full-length garments and a scarf covering their heads adequately in the classroom as well as on the premises of Islamic Foundation. The boys will be required to have half-sleeve or full-sleeve shirts and full- length pants. We need your full cooperation in this matter. May God bless you and reward you.
